Double Glazed Windows Perth – Custom Made and Affordable

There are many types of double glazed windows, they range from Awning windows, Casement windows, sliding windows and tilt and turn double glazed windows. Efficacy of Double glazing or use of dual glass is an important consideration to make with respect to the type of window system chosen.
Double glazing to Casement windows and Tilt and turn windows performs the best because of the double seal and multiple locking mechanism which helps the sash seal tight up against the frame giving an almost Zero air infiltration, thus providing better efficiency against the exterior elements.
Double glazing thickness is also variant depending on the type of window system chosen, Casement windows, awning windows and tilt and turn double glazed windows can accommodate thicker double glazing compared to their sliding counterpart. All our windows systems use a thermally efficient uPVC framing and Steel reinforcing for added strength.

Awning Windows

Double glazed Awning windows are an outward opening system which are hinged from the top and Awn out from the bottom. From all the different types of double glazed windows available, double glazed awning windows are the most simple in construction.
They are operated with a friction hinge to hold the weight of the sash and lock at the bottom with Cam multiple locking system. Our Double glazed awning widows can also be fitted with a Chain winder system which is common for Australian market.
The double glazing or the total thickness of glass used in our awning windows is 28mm with a standard specification of using 4-20-4, however depending on the project requirement the glazing combination is fully customizable. All our Awning double glazed windows are fitted with a retractable flyscreen on the inside or a fixed flyscreen when a chain winder system is used.

From all the types of double glazed windows available, double glazed sliding windows are the simplest to use and provide the maximum ventilation and don’t interfere with the space inside or outside the house.
Our Double glazed sliding windows are fitted with a multiple locking system to the height of the sliding window and are highly secure.
The one drawback of sliding windows is whilst they are very energy efficient, but because the system is based around brush seals and not EPDM seals, these type of double glazed windows do let in a bit of air leakage. The double glazing or the glass thickness used in our sliding windows is 18mm and a standard specification is to use 4-10-4 , however the glass customizable depending on the project and client need

Tilt and Turn windows

Double glazed Tilt and turn windows are an inward opening and tilting in window which is a very common window system in Europe.Double glazed tilt and turn windows are the most energy efficient and the best sealing windows from all, this is due to locking points all around the window which ensure a zero air infiltration through the seals.
The double glazing phenomenon only works best if you eliminate draft and double glazed tilt and turn windows are the ideal window system for that. Out of all the types of double glazed windows, Tilt and turn windows are the only types of windows which have a dual action opening, which open inwards and also tilt from the top which is secured and locked at a place so you can enjoy fresh breath of air without feeling insecure.
